Meet the Therapist
Hi, I’m Jennica Haines.
I have more than 15 years' experience working in a range of community and mental‑health settings, advocating for mental‑health awareness, navigating resources, and supporting vulnerable youth, families, and individuals. I created Stable Space Counselling out of a deep commitment to helping people uncover their strengths, create balance, and move toward meaningful personal growth within a supportive, healing environment.
I am a Registered Counselling Therapist (Candidate) with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists, a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, and the founder of Stable Space Counselling. I hold a Master’s Degree in Counselling and a joint‑major Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Sociology.

I work primarily with adults and older teens navigating concerns such as anxiety, stress, self‑esteem, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I place particular importance on understanding the unique lived experiences that shape a person’s identity across the lifespan, and I am passionate about fostering independence, confidence, and resilience.
I also have a strong interest in Equine Assisted Therapy (EAT), an experiential approach that supports emotional awareness, communication skills, and confidence. I am currently pursuing specialized training to integrate EAT into my practice and hope to offer this therapeutic option in partnership with my equine co‑facilitator, Moose, in the coming months.

Commitment to Community Care
Stable Space Counselling was born from a deep commitment to offering accessible, compassionate, trauma-informed care to adults and teens in our rural communities that make up the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia. Creating this practice was my way of offering a steady, attuned space where you can feel genuinely seen, supported, and empowered to reconnect with yourself at a safe and respectful pace while building healthier relationships with yourself and others.
